Build a world from the noise. Visual Worlds for Music is a six-week self-guided course exploring how sound, memory, emotion, color, texture, movement, and imagination can become visual worlds. Each week includes approximately one hour of original video lessons, guided creative prompts, follow-along activities, and downloadable worksheets. You can move through the course on your own schedule and return to the material whenever you need inspiration. Throughout the six weeks, we’ll experiment with drawing from sound, scoring silent films, mapping memories, collecting visual references, creating mood boards, choosing materials, and turning an idea into a stage, installation, performance environment, video world, or completely imaginary place. THE SIX WEEKS Week One: Listening Differently Translate sound, rhythm, and movement into colors, shapes, textures, and images. Week Two: Memory + Emotion Use places, feelings, smells, objects, and imperfect memories to create something new. Week Three: Collecting a World Build visual collections and mood boards using unexpected images, materials, colors, and references. Week Four: Building the Space Transform your ideas into a stage, installation, performance environment, or imagined place. Week Five: Movement, Light + Sound Explore how your world changes, where its light comes from, how sound lives inside it, and how an audience might experience it. Week Six: Make Something Impossible Bring everything together into a final visual world through a collage, model, drawing, map, render, or creative presentation.
